Mercer Union’s signature fundraising auction returns in celebration of our 40th Anniversary. Proceeds from the event contribute essential funds to support exhibitions and programs at Mercer Union, and help maintain our position as Canada’s leading artist-run centre.
Mercer Union’s mission and history have positioned the organization as a leader in the advancement of contemporary art. Over the past 40 Years, we have established ourselves as an essential part of a thriving local contemporary arts community, a national history of artist-run culture and an international network of peer organizations committed to supporting experimental, research-based and process-driven art projects. We distinguish ourselves through our focus on commissioning and supporting the production of new and experimental work, often facilitating first exhibition opportunities for artists who then come to prominence in a wider international sphere.
