OCAD University WHAT JUST HAPPENED & Nikki White – THE PAIN OF DESIRE
With record temperatures that day, the gallery heated up and the evening was fun.
Students from the OCAD University’s Sculpture and Installation Thesis Exhibition, What Just Happened, took over the Main & Process Galleries at Gallery 1313, while artist Nikki White had her first solo exhibit in The Cell Gallery with a photo based exhibit titled The Pain of Desire.
It was good to see some these installations in the space, and visitors got to check out the new works just after they had been critiqued. Plenty of faculty from OCAD U came out to support the student exhibit, as well as family, friends and the usual gallery crowd. The hard work of these students was well received.
Artist Nikki White was happy to have her first solo exhibit. She had participated in the Emerging Artist Exhibit at Gallery 1313 in January, displaying other photo-based works.
The second part of the Thesis Program is next up April 4-15. Current exhibitions continue to April 1.
