Alvaro Paz is part of an emerging wave of Latin American artists that deal with both classical and contemporary issues simultaneously. Having trained as a painter he uses the classical subjects of renaissance Italy to reflect upon contemporary Latin American problems such as street violence and the media.
Alvaro has exhibited work in his native Venezuela, Mexico, Chile and the USA .
This is his first Canadian Exhibition.
Alvaro Paz was born in1986 . He lives and works in Maracailo, Venezuela.
