The Human Canvas Project is a body painting project that seeks to reconcile the relationships we have with our bodies.

Author (Saga of the Radicals) and artist Matti McLean will present his Human Canvas Project, displaying the first 100 portraits and launching the corresponding 100 page, hardcover photo book. In a collaborative and ongoing process involving music, paint, and photography, McLean has painted over 100 human canvasses and published the results.

The event will feature a live exhibit of the Human Canvas Project process, with models from the photographed sessions also on hand.

Matti McLean is an artist and author originally from North Bay and has been experimenting with different mediums for many years. A published author and graduate of Nipissing University, The Human Canvas Project is his first solo exhibit featuring the medium of body painting.
